Last week I took my truck in to have the exhaust manifolds removed and replaced due to broken exhaust manifold bolts. It was a job other service shops were not interested in repairing. Garth at Walnut Grove was confident taking on the job. He did a fantastic job. Fixed the problem in two days and the price was in line with the quote. The staff and service is awesome! Scott and the team are trustworthy, dedicated and honest . He provided me with a pick up and drop off while my transmission fluid was changed. After I received my quote I asked for an additional item to be added to my initial request. To my surprise they stuck to the quote and did the additional request for no extra charge. With a huge bolt quickly taking the air out of my tire, I drive around looking for a tire shop and ended up stumbling upon Walnut Grove auto tech. We limped off the number one highway into Vancouver and got onto exit 53. Call BCAA while looking up the nearest or closest auto shops to help fix an alternator possible battery problem. It was 1230. We’ve already missed the 1 o’clock ferry for Victoria. It’s the May long weekend and there’s a chance we could be stuck in Vancouver for the next three days. These guys under the leadership of Scott took us in multiple different parts to get the right one and had us back on the road within two hours. We were able to catch the 7 o’clock boat back to Victoria Scott, you and the boys took great care of us not only with our vehicle but with Information and with hospitality this is the best service I have ever gotten from a auto shop. Took my 2013 BMW 328i in for a hesitation when accelerating hard. The guys fixed it right up and now it runs great! I also got them to replace the turbo oil feed line (updated part to replace known N20 smoking issue). They even told me about a 10 year extended BMW warranty to cover this before starting the job (which local BMW said NO to). Super ugly job that WGAT aced! Saved over $1K compared to the dealer. I appreciate Walnut Grove Auto Tech's professionalism. They took the time to listen to me describe the problem with the car, and took the time to explain to me the options. There were some issues with my son's car when they went to perform a wheel alignment. With their help I was able to decide a course of action and they followed through on the repair. Our truck developed a leak in the brake line. I expected the truck to be out of service while parts were brought in... it was ready before the end of the day. They cut the line back to good metal, a couple of fittings and a section of new line, installed, purged tested and returned. Our whole family brings our cars, and our landscape company brings trucks here for all our repairs. The technicians have never been stumped and the countermen are all mechanically experienced themselves. Some of our trucks have VERY high mileage. 700 to 850 thousand kilometers. We operate trouble free because of these guys, and not replacing engines etc... they keep everything in tip top shape so we DONT need to replace major parts often! The owner is extremely active in the shop and at the counter. We would never go anywhere else with our vehicles. Coming from Vancouver and Burnaby is still worth it for having work done by Walnut Grove Auto Tech.read more
